Yes it seems almost every other bit of news these days is about another new member to Stallone's Expendables, this week the news already came that Schwarzenegger would cameo playing himself as the Governor of California. Latino Review have got the scoop that the newest member is to be Danny 'Machete' Trejo, it is likely that he will be playing a bad guy but none the less it is a great addition to an already unimaginable cast. On the idea of a possible Machete movie Robert Rodriguez said at last years Comic-Con that he would be trying to film it along with Sin City 2 at the same time, although when this will be no one knows as he has finished his new childrens film Shorts starring William H. Macy and Kat Dennings which is to be released on August 7th. The news also came this week that his next project will be Nerveracker which he is to write and direct for a 2010 release.
Here is the description that has been given so far
“Nerveracker is set in the year 2085 and centers on the character Joe Tezca, part of an elite unit who is sent in to stop a crime wave amongst a perfect futuristic society. In the process, he discovers that “Nerverackers” are on a rampage for control of the city. Tezca consequently sets forth on a mission to reveal the cover up by the ruling class and stop the “Nerverackers” before time runs out. Nerveracker is set for an April 16, 2010 release.”
Other exciting news is Rodriguez's Jetsons is still in the pipe line with AintItCoolNews confirming Rodriguez doing test shots and also being the original source.
