New Wolverine Stuff

With less then two months till the May 1st opening Fox have made a big push for Wolverine to get in on some of that interest in comic book films going on thanks to Warner Bros' Watchmen, which is released on Friday. In a bid to monopolise on this enthusiasm they have released six new character photos and a final trailer for the film, below are the six new images which were snagged off of SlashFilm, you can see full size versions here at USA Today.

(From left to right) Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Liev Schreiber as Sabretooth, Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Lynn Collins as Kayla Silverfox and Will I Am as Kestrel.

Pretty basic stuff with these glad to see that they havent shown any of Deadpool's scarring which we are told will take place within the film and whilst I'am happy to see one of my favorite X-Men in the film I can't help but feel that they may have got Gambit c wrong. Below is the other photo released showing Taylor Kitsch as Gambit,

I mean it's good enough and it's pretty close and it's not going to ruin the film at all for me but he just looks kinda wimpy, the hats pretty stupid and he looks to clean, hes meant to be a rugged thief from the streets of New Orleans. Anyway it's a small problem that will in no doubt take away from the giant problem that has surfaced after watching the new trailer below.

It's just a pretty lame insight and I haven't read any of the Wolverine Origins series, but the trailer clearly shows a young Scott Summers (cyclops)being hunted down by Sabretooth, this would be fine but Cyclops is also seen in another scene blowing shit up with his eyes, my only beef would be that if he and Wolverine cross paths it will contradict the previous films where the two have never met and hate each other from the get go.

Other than that the trailer looks amazing and May 1st can't get here soon enough.
What do think of the awesome new trailer?
