Martin Campbell is responsible for resurrecting the James Bond series twice and after the egregious excrement that was Quantum of Solace he might soon be needed again. Variety has picked up the source that Campbell is in talks to finally bring The Green Lantern to the big screen, the character had it's first comic book appearance in 1940 and in that time six different people have held the title and the power ring. The film has been in development since 2007 and at one point when the Justice League movie was being planned John Stewart(not Daily Show) was going to be the Lantern of choice. That project was shelved and it is at this point unknown which incarnation of the Lantern will be used, Campbell seems like a perfect choice to direct and if all goes well the film will land in a few years. Campbell is also currently filming a remake of his 1985 award winning BBC series Edge Of Darkness starring Mel Gibson in his first acting role since the 'Jew' incident.
